The name of the photographer I reassured is Patrick Zephyr. Zephyr grew up in Fav River, Massachusetts where he spent most of his childhood exploring nature and searching for insects. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Following graduation, he participated in a three month canoeing expedition in a remote region of the Northwest Territories of Canada. Patrick purchased his first camera (a 35mm Nikon n6006 SLR) to document this adventure. Soon after In 1998 he decided to become a full time photographer, most of all his photos are taken within 30 miles of his childhood home in Massachusetts.
Zephyr’s style of photography is landscape photos, and close up photos of bugs and animals in the wild. Zephyr edits his photos in a way that makes the colors in his photographs very vivid, brighter, and more glossy than they really are in person. Zephyr’s many philosophy is that beautiful photos can be found everywhere. Zephyr does not believe you have to travel the world to find beautiful photos, you just have to look around yourself to find them. Although Zephyr has had his fair share of traveling, he has no problem finding fascinating subjects in his own backyard. The second part of his philosophy is that he believes capturing nature’s glory is less about technology and expensive equipment and more about learning to see the picture as the camera sees it.
Zephyr’s style of taking photos as influnced my photos a lot this trimester. Zephyr always adds a lot of vibrance to his photos, this trimester I have added a lot of vibrance to all my photos and brighntened the colors in them also. Zephyr also stresses not goin far to take photos and finding beauty around you, I also tried to remember this when taking photos. By doing that I have realized there are a lot of beautiful places in my backyard to take photos.
